Forming Men of Prayer, Work, and Service
Bosco Ministries offers a variety of mission trips to form the men of prayer, work, and service the world needs. To reach the heroic level of charity we are all called to, we must be willing, able, and prepared to love God in His most distressed disguise: the poor.
- Charity to God, Self, and Other
Bosco Ministries is committed to forming men of virtue that steadfastly live and fiercely love the Faith. The mission trips we offer are uniquely planned and ordered to give missionaries a proper understanding of loving self, God, and other. The trips are rooted in daily prayer, time for reflection/retreat, and serving the physical and spiritual needs of others. This reinforces the virtuous habit of receiving joyfully and giving generously from a place of charity and not from pride.
- Leadership by Example
We are dedicated to forging the supernatural virtue of faith and the character it builds, through exemplary leadership. Our mission trips are led by FSSP Priests and seminarians from Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, who exemplify joyful holy living. They are a unique opportunity for young men to witness firsthand examples of authentically living out the Corporal and Spiritual works of Mercy. Our team is trained in St. John Bosco's Preventative Method, Save Environment, CPR and First Aid. Missionaries will be under expert guidance, both physically and spiritually.
- A Saintly Model
All of our programs are inspired by the example and methods of St. John Bosco. Dedicated to the spiritual well-being of young people, Don Bosco catechized boys through the Sacraments, studies, and playing games. He was passionate about the truths of the Faith, the power of the Sacraments, and the need for a deep spiritual life to take root starting in one's youth. Following St. John Bosco's saintly example and using his Preventative Method, Bosco Ministries' mission trips ignite a fierce love of God and His Church in missionaries' hearts.

$2800.00Peru Mission Trip
We are setting off to the heart of Peru to experience the fire of God’s love and to share that love with others. From August 7th to 22nd, men aged 17-21 will fortify their faith with daily Mass, prayer, and spiritual discussions, meet real needs through construction projects and acts of mercy, and stand amazed by God’s workmanship in the landscapes of Piura, Peru. The missionaries will assist in particular in working with local farmers to cultivate their fields and build shelters for those who have lost their homes.
$1500.00Mexico Mission Trip
Our world needs men who can pray, men who can work, men who can serve; Catholic men, whose hearts are strong to give selflessly in humility and charity. On this twelve day mission trip to Guadalajara, Mexico, college-aged men will draw from the deep well of God’s love and meet real needs of those around them. Rooted in daily Mass (TLM), prayer, meditation, and spiritual formation from FSSP clergy, these men will be challenged to live out their identity as a beloved son of God. On the mission, they will pray and work, serve and grow. Join us on an adventure of charity to serve the poor, a mission of the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy.
Experience the Joy of Serving
“On this trip I realised that in accepting our spiritual poverty - our weakness compared to the might of God, our insecurity compared to the security and stability of Christ - I truly could possess the Kingdom of God. And so with joyful hearts all the missionaries set out to work in the proverbial fields, spreading and sharing joy.”
“I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to go on this mission trip. It was very beautiful to work alongside the people of the community in building the house, and even in other things like eating meals and praying together. It was very moving to see the joy and gratitude of the family, despite their unfortunate circumstances. I am also grateful for the many opportunities for spiritual growth on this trip, through daily Mass and spiritual direction. This trip definitely helped me to better understand (although certainly still far from perfectly) God's love for me, and I think it is safe to say that it was a life-changing experience.”
“I realized in a powerful way the necessity to receive before giving. It made me realize that everyone's fundamental disposition before God is that we are in total need of Him. We are not called to give something that comes from us alone. We give what we have received from the Lord and therein lies our richness. We are all poor beggars before the Lord and this emphasis during the trip enabled me to receive so that I could give!”
